A former PSA circuit player and one of the best Spanish junior players in the 90s, Xavi has more than 15 years' experience as a coach of elite players in international competition with outstanding results in Europe. He founded and coaches at the Squash Project academy, north of Barcelona.

We would define him as an inquisitive coach, constantly learning and evolving. This led him to be one of the first coaches to use the Gevolution learning system with the players who train at Squash Project. He has coached in a number of clubs in Spain and has held clinics in different countries, sharing and learning squash and how to teach others from many points of view.

He has also been coach to the Luxembourg national team.

He currently shares his enthusiasm for squash with players of all levels and ages. From beginners to professional players, at his training base "Squash Project"at the Tipi Park Sports club (La Costa Brava).

He continues to experiment and look for new ways to make squash known, traveling around the world to junior tournaments and the PSA circuit. All this while also keeping playing every day.

Xavi was born in Catalonia.

Gevolution Founder

Tony Griffin

“I have been involved in squash most of my life, from junior to playing and training professionally. After a few years away from squash, the Catalan Federation asked me to help them with their new project. This work encouraged me to write a book on squash, which in turn led me on a fascinating path of learning and creating Gevolution.

We found that the method we developed worked better than traditional training systems: all players, regardless of level or skill, made noticeable improvements faster. And they had more fun. I am keen to share the work we have been doing with all squash enthusiasts and hope that what we have learnt about playing and teaching squash will be useful to them too.
